Full transparency: I'm a huge Miami Hurricanes fan. So 16-17 months ago, when the transfer portal was open, Miami & FSU were wooing Cam Ward (who eventually declared for the NFL draft, then pulled his name out, committed to Miami, & eventually became the 1st overall player in the draft). After missing out on Ward, FSU turned their attention to DJU (a common collegiate nickname for him, BTW), well even before the season started & FSU's season went to sh1t, in practices he struggled with accuracy (we know this b/c the FSU fan-site writers kept making excuses for him). It's good (and surprising) to hear he's doing better but I dont have a lot of faith in him or Trey Lance as QB3 (not that either will ever take meaning NFL stats but as guys who can facilitate quality reps for the other players & their development). Anyway, as a Miami fan, I got to see a lot of DJU from his Clemson days to his FSU days (even when he was at Oregon St.), and all I ever thought of him was as a big RB taking snaps.
